Yeah, maybe you're right, maybe it is stupid, but it can't be stopped.  Nobody can help getting attached to others, especially under  the sort of pressure this place puts on people.  You want soldiers who don't get attached?  Then find a way to send us all home and replace us with robots or something.

It oughta be obvious by now that a lot of us weren't picked for how useful we'd be in a war - just from the number of kids who get brought here apart from anything else.  So if you don't like the fact that we're not all perfect emotionless automatons, suck it up.  It's not going to change.

True enough, a lot of us were not chosen for our skills in battle. And those of us who are, well--let me tell you just because we say one thing and act a certain way does not mean that we do not form attachments, too. Or feel just as upset, if not moreso when such people die or vanish.

It's just... I dunno, frustrating. Not forming attachments isn't an easy concept to wrap your head around - I don't think it's even a conscious decision for most people - and I seriously doubt I'm the only one who's gone too far about it. On either side.

Even so. If you're going to be complaining about them complaining, it's not going to make things better. Two wrongs don't make a right. If everyone shuts up and keeps their opinions about it to themselves, there'll be a lot less headaches felt around here.

I'm going to keep my opinion about it to myself, personally. It's mixed, and it's no reason to argue senselessly with you or anyone else.
