I wish I could say I didn't know why he's like that, but Heartless tend to be pretty transparent. Only thing I don't get is why he was obsessed with the Phantom of the Opera. Surprised he never did "Angel of Music", that one's even worse than the others, sinister-wise.

But, uh, yeah. Darkness incarnate and all that... all the negative stuff. Fear, anger, hate, jealousy, arrogance... Not evil, really, but they've got no concept of restraint. Or the idea than anyone other than them counts as "people".
